I noticed that this was a bit dated. While you can run 2 people in a 3 man, the skirmishes are set up for 3 people and not 2. If you try it on 3 man you better know what you are doing. There is a setting for 2 man.

As for the tutorial, not much is said about that. I didnt go to the link in this post so I dunno if that is taken care of there.

You can slot your soldier under attributes which is pretty basic. Under training you must make sure your training matches your soldier in attributes, however. This is not evident before you pick your soldier for the first time.

Example:
Only Bannerguards and Protectors can train Heavy Armor. Light armor training is for Sages and Herbalists only. Medium armor training is for Archers and Warriors, which isnt all that intuitive. I'd figure bannerguards for medium and warriors for heavy but thats not the case.

So for a quick ref:
HEAVY ARMOR TRAINING
Protector
Bannerguard

MEDIUM ARMOR TRAINING
Archer
Warrior

LIGHT ARMOR TRAINING
Sage
Herbalist

*sigh*

You say you want skirmish marks? Veteran Marks? Tired of the same old skirmishes?

Have no fear. You can now (now, being after f2p release) get SM in instances. I haven't figured out the min/max stuff, cuz thats not what I do, but I have picked up SM in the GB instances.

This is def a work in progress. I haven't seen the skirm/instance panel come up yet on my noobs. I know it is active at 20, of course as this is when you can start instances and skirmishes.

Your Soldier now starts out at level 19. Doing instances, even if you don't finish will get you a few SM. You DO NOT get to summon your soldier in the instance even though it seems like you've just entered a skirmish.

[Skirmish Marks] are not the only thing you get in instances now. You get marks for each instance... although I havent tested that out. I know there is a barrow mark. I believe there is a Annuminas Mark, as I've seen things that you can buy with them.

Moar later...
